Establishment of bufferzones provides multifunctionality with large potential benefit for nature, environment and production. If bufferzones are placed and modified to local conditions, a range of benefits for nature and environment can be achieved. At the same time, it is possible to harvest the biomass in order to make profit and reduce nutrients from the soil in the bufferzone. (Kronvang et al. 2010; Stutter et al. 2012).
