Cattle farms with good herd claw health all have fixed routines – and any employee on the farm knows what to do and when. If you want to improve claw health on your farm, it can however be challenging to define the routines and delegate responsibility.
A cow can be severely injured if you trim its claws incorrectly. Therefore, you should participate in a course before you start trimming claws.
When you have completed a claw trimming course, watch this video to brush up on how to trim a normal claw correctly. Abnormal claws should only be trimmed by a professional claw trimmer. The video has English subtitles.
